One of the most requested features over the past few months, and now Instagram is finally getting dark mode.
As the name suggests, dark mode changes the background color of the application window to black, making it easier on the eyes – especially when using a mobile phone at night. Following the latest steps from Gmail, WhatsApp, Twitter and Pinterest, Instagram launched a new dark mode feature Tuesday for iOS 13 and Android 10 devices.
Instagram will automatically switch to dark mode to reflect your mobile settings. If you are using iOS 13, here’s how to try the dark mode for yourself:
– Make sure you have updated your Instagram application and are using the latest version available.
– Open the Settings application on your iPhone.
– Tap Display and Brightness, then tap Dark.
Android 10 users can follow similar steps:
-Enable dark mode as wide as a device on Android by going to Settings, then to Display.
– Tap Advanced, then select Dark from the device’s Themes menu.
